So I just watched the season 8 premiere of Smallville...and boy was I impressed!!!! it was terrific!!!! I have to say my favorite scenes were the basically all the Clark Oliver ones--- the "never giving up" speech, the brawl in the Russian prison camp, when Oliver shot Clark and looked so heartbroken (like OMG I just shot my friend kinda way) totally totally great!!!!! and then Clark's interaction with Lois at the end and that great smile she gives when he leaves was stellar!!!!! So totally Clois!!!

So now that I'm done being spastic...
It was overall a pretty good. episode. I am very pleased, mostly because of all the Oliver scenes in it, but it was well written and heart-stopping and a little sad and wonderful.

She's lying on the hospital bed, pale and withdrawn, and Rodney's shaking. 
The fear is building up inside of him and he can't think. Too many people, too many names, all dead and gone now, and soon... another name to add to that list. He sighs and runs a hand through his hair, the breath comes out ragged and draws the attention of Jennifer. She doesn't speak, just slowly moves her hand across the bed to clasp his tightly. Her eyes drift close, a smile on her lips. He presses the hand to his mouth. 
'I will find a way, I promise. I will make it right."

When Vincent asked, Jo laughed and said that obviously it was a silly mistake.
After all, if Carter hadn't gotten himself all infected by that spore thing she wouldn't have even been attracted to him, let alone kiss the man. Not that it was any of his business anyway, but she had already mumbled an apology to Carter the first chance she got.  Carter, of course, choose that moment to poke his head into Cafe Diem. 
He asked Jo to pick up a coffee for him whil he ran some errands, and with a wink told her to make sure it was still hott when he got it.

 Watching him walk away, and across the street, Jo found (much to her surprise) 
that she couldn't decide whether to throw her arms around Carter and kiss him senseless, or punch him.
Ignoring the look Vincent gave her, she grabbed her lunch, and his coffee, 
deciding that for now, she would go with the latter.
After all, the urge to kiss him was probably just a residual effect of the spores. 
Probably.

I am so excited about Avatar. I love that show so freakin much. This is going to be the best season ever!!!!

Saw the trailer and some spoilers, I wish I had been at Comic Con when the showed it, that would have been cool, but whatever. I actually like everyone's new hair and outfits, and LOVED Aang's new look, not the one with hair, but when he' s all back to his good old bald self, but in better robes. If you look on youtube you'll find it. 

I can't want to tell my sister, she and I watch the show together. SQUEAL!! hope there's lots of Toph (second favorite character next to Aang himself)
